1. Today in class we discussed different search engines in the A-Z database of the university's online library. We learned new programs like the CQ Researcher, Brittanica Online, and Lexis-Nexis.
2. Everything was very importatn to me because now I know that whenever I need to look something up, and I cannot find it somewhere, I have alternatives. It is also very useful to know all of this is online just incase the library is not accessable.
3. To ensure that I don't run into a dead end, I need to make sure I use very specific terms that I am sure will help me find the information that I need. I also need to make sure I don't use too many terms because that broadens my search.

Good points in item 3. You can also check the "description" of each database to make sure it's appropriate for your search.
